Masters of the Universe Trailer Drops: Prince Adam Is Back and Bigger Than Ever

Masters of the Universe is finally hitting theaters worldwide, and fans who stayed through the credits were treated to not one, not two, but three post-credits scenes teasing the future of the franchise. The film already lays the groundwork for more adventures in Eternia, but these stingers make it clear that filmmaker Travis Knight and the creative team have much bigger plans in mind. If you missed the scenes or simply want a refresher, here’s a breakdown of all three Masters of the Universe post-credits scenes. Warning: Major spoilers ahead.

Masters of the Universe Post-Credits Scene #1: Orko Finally Appears

The first post-credits scene delivers a surprise that longtime fans of the animated series have been waiting for. The fan-favorite trollan wizard Orko finally makes his live-action debut. Unlike many of the film’s characters, Orko appears in a design much closer to his classic cartoon counterpart.

The scene is largely comedic and doesn’t have major story implications. Orko doesn’t interact with Prince Adam, Teela, or any of the movie’s main cast. Instead, it’s played as a fun Easter egg and a reward for longtime fans of the franchise. Still, his appearance confirms that even more classic Masters of the Universe characters could appear in future installments.

Post-Credits Scene #2: She-Ra Arrives

The second stinger is arguably the most important scene in the entire movie. The sequence begins with Queen Marlena and Duncan, also known as Man-at-Arms, discussing their hopes that “she” will one day return to them just as Prince Adam did. The film then cuts elsewhere in Eternia where a mysterious female warrior is shown from behind holding the iconic Sword of Protection.

The character is revealed to be She-Ra, marking her first official appearance in the live-action Masters of the Universe universe. While her face isn’t shown and the actress appears to be a stand-in, the message is clear: She-Ra is coming. To make the moment even more nostalgic, the scene includes a brief snippet of the classic She-Ra: Princess of Power theme music. The scene appears to directly set up a future sequel centered on the long-awaited reunion between Adam and his twin sister.

Masters of the Universe: Post-Credits Scene #3: Skeletor Isn’t Finished Yet

The final scene provides the franchise’s biggest villain tease. Viewers return to Castle Grayskull where Evil-Lyn is seen alone with Skeletor’s severed head. As she stares at it, the familiar laugh of Skeletor suddenly echoes through the chamber before the screen cuts to black.

The scene strongly suggests that Skeletor survived the events of the film and will return in a future installment. Whether Jared Leto reprises the role remains unclear, but the stinger leaves little doubt that the iconic villain’s story is far from over.

What Do The Post-Credits Scenes Mean?

Taken together, the three scenes appear to establish the roadmap for a potential sequel. Orko’s introduction expands the mythology of Eternia, She-Ra’s debut sets up one of the franchise’s most important storylines, and Skeletor’s survival ensures that He-Man’s greatest enemy remains a threat.

If a sequel moves forward, fans can likely expect Prince Adam and She-Ra to unite against a returning Skeletor in an even larger battle for Eternia. For now, Masters of the Universe is playing in theaters, with the film opening in the United States on June 5 after beginning its international rollout on June 3.
