Hogwarts Legacy was ultimately revealed at Sony’s September 2020 PlayStation 5 Showcase, four years after the trailer for a mysterious Harry Potter game surfaced. This lets fans realize their most cherished fantasies within the game’s unique lore. Warner Bros. Games has disclosed that Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to debut in “Holiday 2022,” but the release date has not yet been made official. According to the most recent Hogwarts Legacy sneak peek, there are now more reasons to be excited about the open-world RPG set in the Potterverse. The new teaser captioned “Your studies will guide you beyond the classroom” reveals how this holiday season, Hogwarts Legacy will provide players with the opportunity to attend the magical academy and enjoy all the advantages of education – from classroom to combat.
There won’t be any encounters between classes with Harry, Hermione, or Ron because the game is set in the late 1800s. According to the story, even Albus Dumbledore wasn’t born until 1881, giving the Avalanche Software developers the ability to introduce an entirely new cast of characters while maintaining the integrity of the setting. You won’t run into the famed trio or Dumbledore because the story takes place in the late 1800s.
The game will be launched on PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox One. As part of a special March PlayStation State of Play, we were given a 14-minute Hogwarts Legacy gameplay walkthrough that explained many of the game’s systems and mechanics.
The game was initially set to release in 2021 but then got delayed to April 2022. We’re still awaiting a more precise date, but hopefully, this will be the last delay before the end of the year. Now that God of War: Ragnarok release date is set for 9th November, Hogwarts Legacy might release towards the end of December.
