Star Trek Strange New Worlds Creator Promises A Bigger Season 2

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds which debuted and concluded its season 1 recently on the streaming service Paramount+ had received great critical acclaim. Co-creator Akiva Goldsman revealed in a recent interview about what to expect from the show’s season 2.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Details

Season 2 of Strange New Worlds is already in production and expected to release in 2023. The co-creator and co-showrunner Akiva Goldsman has revealed in an interview to THR that the scale of season 2 is going to be bigger than season 1.

“Honestly, and I can’t believe I am going to say these words: bigger and better.”

Akiva Goldsman also teased a bit on whether the future seasons of Strange New Worlds can evolve into a new Star Trek: The Original Series iteration if New Worlds runs that long and continue through the The Original Series timeline, which means Kirk takes over the enterprise.

“Let that be the biggest problem we have, should it go that long, to figure out how that works. But nothing would make me happier than to continue through the TOS timelines and beyond.”

With ST spinoff, Star Trek: Picard ending after Season 3, which is also co-created  by Akiva Goldsman, surely New Worlds can take its place as the substitute along with Star Trek: Discovery for the streamer Paramount+ to keep the fans of the beloved science fiction property  entertained.
