Dreamworks Sets 2024 Release Date For Kung Fu Panda 4

The upcoming animated film’s directors have not yet been revealed, but as Kung Fu Panda 4 production ramps up, other news is sure to follow. In the fourth feature, Jack Black, who plays Po in all movies and spin-off television shows, is most likely to reprise his role as everyone’s favorite panda.

Kung Fu Panda (2008), which was a commercial and critical success and received an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature, went on to become one of Dreamworks’ most successful franchises, along with Shrek, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon. Po’s past was expanded upon in two theatrical prequels produced in 2011 and 2016 as he adapted to his new position as the Dragon Warrior. KFP: Legends of Awesomeness on Nickelodeon, KFP: The Paws of Destiny on Amazon Prime Video, and KFP: The Dragon Knight on Netflix are some short films and spin-off shows that were created as a result of the movie’s success.

It is unknown if any prior voice actors would return for the movie because it is still in the early phases of production. In addition to Jack Black, the movies also star Dustin Hoffman as Master Shifu, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, Seth Rogen as Mantis, Jackie Chan as Monkey, Lucy Liu as Viper, David Cross as Crane, James Hong as Mr. Ping, and Randall Duk Kim as Oogway.

Kung Fu Panda 4 will be released in theatres on March 8, 2024.
