Netflix’s anthology series and hit futuristic sci-fi anthology drama, Black Mirror is gearing up for Season 6. The show created by Charlie Brooker debuted first in 2011 on Channel 4 and received great critical acclaim before moving to Netflix in 2016. The show had been in a sabbatical break since 2019, after airing its fifth season and Booker decided to focus on other projects, although Booker had surprised fans with an interactive film based on the property called Black Mirror: Bandersnatch in 2018.
Black Mirror Season 6 Release Date, Cast & Other Details
According to Variety, Season 6 of Black Mirror reportedly contains more episodes than season 5, which had only three episodes. The show is returning after 3 years and the cast details were out. Variety’s sources claim that the following actors are all part of the cast that span over three episodes:

- Paapa Essiedu
- Josh Hartnett
- Aaron Paul
- Kate Mara
- Danny Ramirez
- Clara Rugaard
- Auden Thornton
- Anjana Vasan
More actors were expected to join for season 6.
The sci-fi storylines and technological topics reserved for season 6 of Black Mirror were under wraps at this point but sources are saying season 6 is going to be very cinematic in scope with hour long episodes and increase in scale. There’s no official release date announced yet for Black Mirror Season 6 by Netflix, but given the fact that production and filming didn’t yet start in full swing, a mid-to-late 2023 release is the best assumption for the show’s return. The show is renowned for its quality storytelling and made with lavish budget (after moving to Netflix), so going by the A-list or top tier cast involved with Season 6, it’s going to take a while for Black Mirror fans to watch the new season.
