Last year, 18th March marked the success of one of the biggest fan campaigns in recent history in the form of Zack Snyder ‘s Justice League. The 2017 Justice League faced its fair share of controversies with Snyder being fired and Joss Whedon taking over the film resulting in a directionless two hours moving imagery. The fans were naturally disappointed, but the news of Snyder’s version still existing breathed life into them.
This gave rise to the well-known movement called #releasethesnydercut . While at first, it just seemed like a bunch of nerds crying for no reason soon the moment became too big for Warner Bros. to ignore. Nearly five years later we got the Snyder Cut. It’s response was overwhelming. The fans soon started the trend #restorethesnyderverse . Although, Warner Bros’ executive made it clear that Snyder Verse is dead for good they said the same thing about the Snyder Cut so… never say never.
#HenryCavillSuperman Trends on Superman Day Thanks to Zack Snyder
The Snyder Cut saw Superman’s return from the dead and fans are well aware what they want next. Man of Steel (2013) dawned the cinematic universe for DC and since that film fans have been waiting for its sequel. Although, when Warner Bros. said they don’t want to continue with the Snyder Verse they meant not even with the actors, apparently. Rumors suggests the characters of Batman and Superman will be played by new actors.
With Batman’s role already renewed by Robert Pattinson in The Batman (2022), though that’s separate from the cinematic universe, still it happened. That leaves Superman, Henry Cavill is an absolute fan favorite and everyone is annoyed with these rumors of him being replaced. One of them being Zack Snyder himself. To extend his support to Henry Cavill he posted this on Superman Day and fans were quick to react.
A Twitter user @BatfleckMovie wrote, “If you wanted hope, there it is!!!!” reposting the same image Snyder used and pointed out the Past Present and Future line.

Despite all this hype there is no official statement by Warner Bros. We sit sit back and hope that one day Man of Steel 2 will see the light of day and mark the return of Henry Cavill as Superman. Until then, the next releases of DC include Black Adam, Shazam 2 and Flashpoint. Black Adam’s trailer dropped last week.
