Spider-Man: No Way Home is truly a gift that keeps on giving! Ever since its tremendous box office numbers and the success of melding three Spider-Man trilogies together, the Marvel hit is now one of the most important movies in MCU history. The film verified fans’ hopes and desires of seeing their favourite stars on the big screen together when it hit the theatres in December.

The adoration for Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s trio has only increased since then, and Marvel hasn’t missed a chance to capitalize on this excitement. They have been releasing promotional materials such as posters and behind-the-scenes footage starring all three Spider-Man actors.

Sony has announced that the multiverse blockbuster will also be re-released in theatres with an extended cut that promises to show fans some never-before-seen scenes with the three Spider-Men. Even though Spider-Man: No Way Home already had a 148-minute runtime, a lot still got cut from the film. A new pre-visualization clip for Spider-Man: No Way Home has revealed a few more segments with the three Spider-Men that didn’t make it into the final cut.

Spider-Man: No Way Home More Maguire And Garfield

More of Maguire And Garfield can be seen in newly released Spider-Man Pre-Viz Video. Matt McClurg, Digital Domain’s pre-visualization supervisor, uploaded a Spider-Man: No Way Home clip on his YouTube account, showing how some of the movie sequences were planned out originally.

In one scene, Tobey, Andrew and Tom’s Spider-Men are about to enter a portal constructed by Ned in the science lab, which would transport them to the Statue of Liberty. The trio’s arrival at the site did not make it to the final cut; therefore, this clears that plot hole.

Another scene reveals two of the webheads teaming up, where one swings the other around in a circle using webs to launch him at an enemy. The video also includes a differently angled shot where the three Spideys can be seen swinging around the Statue of Liberty together.

Some swinging shots also show Doctor Strange’s Machine de Kadavus, or the magic box, which is carried by Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. You can view the entire clip below.

The Excitement about the Pre-Viz Reel

Three different actors coming together as a team from three different trilogies into one screen was nothing less than a magnificent watch, and it’s evident from the pre-visualization video that everything was meticulously planned from the start.

Although it is very similar to what was shown in the final cut, there are a few differences that true Marvel fans are sure to notice. One Reddit user even exclaims, “Glad most of these made it into the film, but there’s a lot more I wish had also!”

This is not the first sequence that was removed from the final edit. Numerous behind-the-scenes footage and other VFX videos for Spider-Man: No Way Home have revealed extra features of the fight between Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, as well as one between Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Dafoe’s Green Goblin, which were left out of the theatre version.

Spider-Man: No Way Home can now be purchased digitally and is also available on Blu-ray. The extended cut is set to open in theatres during the Labour Day weekend in America on September 2.
