Joker 2: Folie à Deux is the sequel to the billion dollar DC venture – Joker. The film starred Joaquin Phoenix in the infamous role of the clown prince of crime which finally earned him his much awaited Oscar. Five years since its release, the Todd Phillips directorial still stands tall as the highest grossing R-rated film of all time. It was unlike for Phillips and Phoenix to return for a sequel however, that is exactly why we should be excited for it. The idea behind the sequel is so strong that it has forced these two men to return. Over the few months, we have gotten some stills from the film but other then we have no official footage. Joker 2 Trailer is a Long Time Away!
Fans have been wondering for a long time for the release date of Joker 2’s trailer since it is all set to debut in theatres in October later this year. However, no one from the creative team or Warner Bros. have provided us with an update. Well, that changed yesterday when new stills from the film were released on the account of Valentine’s Day.
Fans bombarded Todd Phillips’s Instagram post with comments about the trailer’s release date. Phillips answered one of the fans, and revealed the potential trailer release date. He wrote, “Been getting this question a lot. The movie comes out in October. So our first teaser won’t be out until mid April.”

The title “Folie à Deux” means a type of mental illness shared between two close people. Where can Joaquin’s Arthur Fleck find someone who shares a similar mental illness as him? Well his best bet would the Arkham Asylum. Both characters can find comfort in each and other as they’d empathize.
