Loki is one of the rare shows on TV that has not been postponed to next year due to the strikes. It is also probably the only MCU Disney Plus series which most fans agree being good. Season 2 of Loki is all set to debut in barely two weeks from now and we have some incredible information from you!

Loki Season 2 Plot Details Leak Online

With just 10 days left before it hits Disney Plus, the hype around Loki Season 2 is now real. Obviously, being one of the most awaited MCU projects of the year, it is prone to leaks and rumors. Owing to that, we have some leaks for Loki Season 2 episode 1-3, which have been basically confirmed by the trailers. Beware that MAJOR POTENTIAL SPOILERS follow below, so read at your own risk.

Episode 1 Summary

Loki Season 2 Full Opening Scene Leaked Description

The end of season 1 was misleading. Loki didn’t arrive at an alternate universe TVA or a TVA that had changed due to the death of HWR as most people theorised. Instead, due to a glitch in the “time loom”, Loki found himself to the “past” of the TVA. Despite the TVA existing outside of time, the passage of time inside the agency still has a certain linearity, so Loki arrived near the beginning of that linear timeline, shortly after the TVA’s creation. That’s why there is a He Who Remains statue instead of a Timekeepers statue at the library. At that time, HWR wasn’t hiding himself from his agents. It was only later that he erased his existence from their minds and created the myth of the time keepers.

We find that out as Loki glitches forwards and backwards through time visiting various time periods of the TVA. Eventually, Mobius brings Loki to OB (Ke Huy Quan), the creator of the TVA’s technology. He reveals that Loki is time slipping (moving forwards and backwards in the timeline), which should not be possible at the TVA. Soon, OB realises the glitch derives from the Time Loom, a temporal concept which is connected to the origin of the TVA. After a few hijinks and exposition about the Time Loom and the nature of the TVA’s existence, OB manages to create a machine to send Loki to the “present” TVA and stabilize him there, but the Time Loom is still broken.

Loki Season 2 Episode 2 Summary

Loki arrives at his present TVA and informs Mobius of what happened at the Citadel. Mobius informs Loki and the audience that the TVA is now without a leader and Miss Minutes has also disappeared, so they are operating individually. Mobius had revealed to all the agents about the TVA’s real nature and they all collectively decided to stop the killing and destruction that they were previously causing. Loki also breaks down the wall of the Timekeepers to reveal HWR’s face which used to be there until he decided to coward away behind the facade of the Timekeepers, revealing to all the agents who their leader really was.

However, some TVA agents have gone rogue and have started pruning all the timelines which were created after HWR’s death. So the TVA’s current goal is to find these rogue agents and stop them. Loki finds Present-OB and asks him to fix the Time Loom as per his past self’s request and then tells Mobius that they need to find Sylvie to help them in this new mission. Mobius says that they have already sent an agent, Hunter X-5, to track her down, but he never returned.

They track down X-5 and they arrive in the 80s where he has retired from the TVA to become a movie star by the name of Brad Wolfe and has abandoned his mission to find Sylvie (this is a deep-cut reference to the comic book character of the same name who took on the role of the serial killer Zaniac in a movie, only to be possessed by the real Zaniac, who was actually a demon from the Dark Dimension. X-5/Wolfe is shown in the trailer as he is walking out of a theater which reads “Zaniac” in the showings board, but I doubt the MCU will adapt his entire comic story). Loki brings some of his villainous side back in order to interrogate X-5, which makes him spill the beans.

He reveals that he had found Sylvie for a while and she is working at a McDonald’s, trying to get away from the mess she created and figure out if she did the right thing. Loki finds Sylvie and confronts her about what she did at the Citadel and we start seeing sparks of their romantic relationship again, which will play a central role this season as well. It is unclear whether Sylvie agrees to help the TVA with stopping the rogue agents, but considering she does not have a central role in the next episode, she probably doesn’t, at least for now. Loki and Mobius call OB to see if he has made any progress in fixing the time loom. He says that he needs authorization from Miss Minutes or He Who Remains (or any Kang variant for that matter), and as long as they are missing, his hands are tied. The protagonist duo decide to travel the Multiverse to find a Kang variant.

Loki Season 2 Trailer Reveals New Look of Kang The Conqueror

The duo travels to 1893 Chicago to visit the World’s Columbian Exposition (a real life fair that celebrated the 400 year anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in the Americas). There, they plan to hunt down Victor Timely, one of Kang’s variants, who has set up a presentation to showcase one of his inventions at the fair. The fair will be an Easter Egg Hunt for die-hard Marvel fans as we will get to see various references to comic book characters who lived during that era. At the same time, we will get to follow Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes who also happen to be at the fair, possibly looking for Timely as well.

Eventually, there will be a chase scene involving Loki, Mobius, Miss Minutes and Victor Timely, but we don’t know how it will conclude or how the episode will end. The trailer shows scenes mostly from the first 3 episodes as well, so there’s not much we can surmise for how the season will progress. In general though, this season will involve Loki and Mobius going to various times and places and in various branched timelines with each episode focusing on an adventure in a different location in the Multiverse. This was Michael Waldron’s original pitch for the show back in 2019, but it was scrapped because the show could not perform a lot of outdoors filming during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Finally, it is unclear if this is an early-season or a late-season (twist) reveal, but the main villain of the show, who is also the leader of the rogue TVA agents and is behind all the timeline pruning, is an older Sylvie, played by Kate Dickie. She has taken over the Citadel and is doing HWR’s previous job because she feels guilty for her actions. This is one of our Sylvie’s potential futures who is also currently doubting herself on whether she did the right thing, so she will have to confront her future and choose whether she wants to follow her destiny and become like her older self or if she will stay true to what she believes in and let the Multiverse prosper.

Loki Season 2 is all set to release on Disney Plus on Thursday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
