Loki Season 2 Is OB A Kang Variant and Main Villain

Loki Season 2 has somehow managed to be the best MCU Disney Plus production since Loki Season 1 itself. After failure of MCU’s past 2 TV Series as well as the atrocity known as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, a lot was riding on this season. Therefore, it’s really good to report that Loki has only improved its quality as stands high as the flagship MCU D+ series so far. The first 5 episodes managed to be visually captivating, showcase gripping subplots, and establish a grander narrative. With just one episode left to go, the fan theories are now running wild, however, there’s one theory which has a lot of merit to it. That is exactly what this article is about!

Is OB A Kang Variant and The Main Villain of Loki Season 2?

For a show which introduced us to Kang and was supposed to take his story forward, Loki Seasons 2’s Kang variant has been largely disappointing so far. However, with one episode left to go, a lot can happen and it looks like Victor Timely variant we saw isn’t the variant we should be worried out. Fans have pointed out one too many clues to suggest that Ouroboros or OB is actually a Kang Variant possibly Mister Gryphon and the main villain of this season. First of all, Marvel casted Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan for the role of OB and while OB has played an important role, it is not enough to justify casting such a big name actor.

But it was majorly episode 5 that hinted a lot towards this possibility. The major reason is that even when everyone else working in the TVA forgets about everything, OB has no issues coping up with that reality and in fact, helps Loki out. He is still a genius in the timeline much like Victor Timely variant and even his laboratory looked a bit like his room in the TVA. That aside, OB is the brain behind the TVA guidebook and knows absolutely everything there is to know about time and space, even in his original timeline. Also, mythologically speaking, Ouroboros is a snake the Egyptian tale that devours its own tail and births itself, creating a never-ending cycle of creation and destruction.

Moving on, a recent poster of Loki Season 2 showcases OB in vector image while rest of the characters are in raster. Also, you can see that OB looks particularly shady in this poster with a cunning look on his face. This leaves us with the question of how can he be a Kang variant when he doesn’t look anything like him. Well, a variant as seen in Loki itself could be of any shape, form or size, as was the case with Loki variant Slyvie, and Crocodile Loki. Finally, in Episode 4 we saw Kang meeting OB and telling him that if anyone can do this, if was him or OB. So, it is not just possible but in fact, seems probable that OB turns out to be a Kang variant. In case that happens, it would be a really destructive twist the characters on the show as well as most viewers will never see coming.

And that is pretty much it. Let us know in the comments if you believe this theory to be true. Loki Season 2 Episode 6 debuts on November 10 only on Disney Plus at 9 pm ET!
