4 Upcoming Star Wars Shows and Movies You'll Have To Watch After Ahsoka

Star Wars has definitely upped its live action game as after Andor and The Mandalorian, Ahsoka is quickly turning out to be one of the best Star Wars productions ever made. Episode 4 and 5 of Ahsoka have re-ignited the fire which was put off by the mediocre Mandalorian Season 3. If you are watching Ahsoka, you probably know that it is only a small part of the grand scheme of the New Republic Era. You must also already know that The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka are all connected and will tie into a single narrative. So far, it seems like the narrative is building up Grand Admiral Thrawn to be the main antagonist of the Mando-verse. Therefore, even though Ahsoka will end with three more episodes, the grand narrative will continue. So, here are the Star Wars projects you’ll need to watch after completing Ahsoka.

4. Andor Season 2 (2024)

No, Andor is not a part of this timeline and is in fact set in the before the events of Rogue One. But it must be viewed by all Ahsoka fans as it is set during the Star Wars: Rebels era and showcases the early days of the rebellion. It also features some familiar characters for Ahsoka fans, including Mon Mothma as one of the leads, and Saw Gerrera. Andor does a brilliant job depicting the non-Jedi side of the rebellion and what it truly meant and demanded from the rebels. Keeping all this aside, you need to watch this show simply because it is the best thing Star Wars ever made.

3. Skeleton Crew (Fall 2023)

Star Wars Skeleton Crew Filming Begins!

It has been reported from multiple sources that Ahsoka will tie into Skeleton Crew. Even if they don’t directly tie into each other, Ahsoka will most likely feature some plot point or some character who will lead viewers to Skeleton Crew. This show has no buzz as of now and half the fans aren’t even aware that it is an upcoming important part of the Mando-verse. Helmed by Jon Watts, Skeleton Crew is about a group of kids, from a tiny little planet who accidentally get lost in the Star Wars galaxy. It’s a story of these 10 years olds’ journey and finding a way home. Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, and Kathleen Kennedy are all attached to this project, hence making it an important one. So far, only Jude Law has been officially announced as a cast member.

2. The Mandalorian Season 4 (2024)

Well, if we’re talking about mando-verse, watching Mandalorian is a given aspect. Although, season 3 wasn’t what we hoped it would be, The Mandalorian is where it all began and therefore, the upcoming season will play a crucial role in the New Republic Era. The season was confirmed before even Season 3 was wrapped up but due the writers and SAF-AFTRA strikes, the filming has been pushed back. We also heard rumors of producers considering to convert this season to a film instead. Whatever the case maybe, The Mandalorian Season 4 will feature the main characters from the Mando-verse and tie all events directly to Grand Admiral Thrawn’s return in Ahsoka.

1. Untitled Dave Filoni Star Wars Movie (2026)

Top 8 Cameos We Hope To See In Ahsoka, Ranked By Possibility

The first live-action film by Dave Filoni is also set to be the culmination of all the events taking place in the Mando-verse since 2019. That’s right, this untitled New Republic Era film will directly connect the events of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew to deliver an Avengers (2012) like conclusion. The film will be based around a major event in the New Republic era of the Star Wars timeline which we expect to be the return and eventual defeat of Grand Admiral Thrawn. The film is also expected to shed light on the rise of The First Order. It is expected to come out sometime in 2026 and we believe we’ll see a few more Mando-verse seasons and spin-offs before this grand conclusion takes place.

Ahsoka Episode 6 will debut on September 20 only on Disney Plus! The episode will also mark the live-action debut of Grand Admiral Thrawn.
