Sweet Home Season 3 is confirmed to hit Netflix in the summer of 2024. The Korean action-horror series based on the webtoon of the same name arrived on Netflix in December 2020. It became the first Korean series to enter the Top 10 in the US and No. 1 in eight global regions. Now, Season 2 has arrived on Netflix expanding the series past the source material and introducing an altered world. Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang), Lee Eun-yu (Go Min-si), Seo Yi-kyung (Lee Si-young), and Pyeon Sang-wook (Lee Jin-uk) struggle to survive after the majority of the population are turned into monsters. In June 2022, the streaming giant announced that Sweet Home was renewed for both Season 2 and Season 3. Here’s everything we know about Sweet Home Season 3.

Sweet Home Season 3: Plot, Cast, and More

The expected cast of Sweet Home Season 3 are Song Kang, Go Min-si, Lee Jin-wook, Yu Oh-seong, Oh Jung-se, Kim Mu-yeol, Jung Jin-young, Choi Go, Kim Hee-jung, Kim Shin-rok, Yoon Se-ah, Chae Won-bin, Kim Si-a, Hyun Bong-sik, Yang Hye-ji, and Lee Do-Hyun.

In a roundtable interview, Jin-young gave Marie Claire his take on the new episodes of the second season. “Before when I looked at the monsters [while watching season 1], I wondered more about why they were here. Why did they appear?” he said. “However, this time around, I was digging a little bit deeper into why they became monsters in the first place, and how [the humans] were trying not to turn into monsters. I think there was also a lot of effort that went into trying to show the extreme rock bottom of human nature, so I think in that way, the universe was expanded.”

The finale of Season 2 sets up many questions for the viewers. What will Hyun-su and Yi-kyung’s child’s relationship become, after Hyun-su had to kill Yi-kyung? What will happen to the commune of survivors when it’s disclosed that Chief Ji has been harboring a monster in the stadium? Will Ui-myeong figure out how to turn all humans into monsters?

Lee  Jin-uk gave a hint on what the viewers can expect from Season 3. “Among the many untied knots [from] the second season, you’ll be able to see a lot of those knots be tied and come to a conclusion in season 3,” Lee said. “Without spoilers, what I can say is there will be some kind of a [symbolic] child custody fight and I’m just going to leave it at that. That’s all I can share with you, no spoilers here.”
