Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero U.S. and Global Release Date Revealed

Fans of Dragon Ball Franchise have been quite patient with the popular anime as the last we saw of it was Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018). With little no to no updates on Dragon Ball Super Season 2, fans of the DB anime are eyeing the second DBS film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. It was earlier all set to release on 22nd April in Japan but was postponed to 11th June. Now there’s less than a week left before its release and the hype is rising but as you may fans in rest of the countries have to usually wait much longer. The good news is that we ow have an official release date for its USA and global release.

But first, latest leaks reveal the return of the iconic DBZ villain Cell as a giant Cell Max, which you can read about here.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero US Release Date

A few hours ago, a new poster has revealed the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero U.S. and global release date. It is being distributed by Crunchyroll in the U.S. as well as globally, and will arrive on August 19, 2022. Although, it is two months after the Japan release, we can all surely wait a few more months to experience this epic in theatres.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, unlike most DB anime, features Gohan and his alter ego Great Saiyanman in the lead. Gohan returned to the action in Dragon Ball Super’s Universe Survival Saga and we have some high hopes for him from here. The official synopsis for the film reads:

The Red Ribbon Army was once destroyed by Son Goku. Individuals, who carry on its spirit, have created the ultimate Androids, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. These two Androids call themselves ‘Super Heroes’. They start attacking Piccolo and Gohan… What is the New Red Ribbon Army’s objective? In the face of approaching danger, it is time to awaken, Super Hero!
