Marvel's Spider-Man 3 All Villains and Characters Set Up By Spider-Man 2

The game we were all waiting for the entire year is here and most of us are already done with it. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is undoubtedly one of the best superhero games ever made as well as a solid contender for Game of the Year award. However, many fans were a bit dissatisfied with the length of the game as depending on the depending you play on, you can get that platinum within 25-35 hours of playtime. So, fans being fans, obviously want more and are now looking forward to the DLCs and the sequels. Therefore, today we’ll talk about the most exciting future prospects of series as following is a list of all villains and other major characters we’ll most likely see in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

Green Goblin

It can’t get more obvious than Norman Osborn swearing revenge against Spider-Man and ordering “G-Serum” to get ready. The iconic Spider-Man villain has been in the making since past 2 games, and in Spidey 3 we’ll finally get to see Green Goblin. He’ll at least serve as one of the major villains, if not the final boss.

Doctor Octopus

Aside, from Goblin, the post credit scene also revealed that Doctor Octopus has a plan ready for the chapter of the saga. From what it looks like, Goblin and Ock will most likely work together and make both Spider-men’s life difficult. Even though Peter has taken a break, he’ll be forced to return to action as it’s possible the villains hit him in the home this time (knowing his true identity).

Chameleon

After completing the Target Identified quest which is unlocked after decrypting all 8 Hunter Drones in the map, we are introduced to Chameleon. Spider-Man learns that Chameleon is not just free and doing really well, but is also the brother of Kraven The Hunter. As Spidey leaves his apartment, we see Chameleon spying on him and saying he’ll finish what his brother started and failed to do. Once again, this clearly sets up either an upcoming DLC or Spider-Man 3.

Carnage

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 PS5 Carnage Cletus Kasady Leak, Watch Here

While doing the Wraith side quests, you realize Spider-Man is after someone called the Flame. Well, in the final quest called “It Was Meant for Me” we learn that this person is actually Cletus Kasady. Spider-Man and Wraith fail to stop him and he ends up stealing a red coloured Symbiote specimen, clearly setting up Carnage. Even the trophy which unlocked upon finishing this quest is called “Crimson Hour.” If that’s not enough, Kasady himself says, “it shall bring truth, judgement, and Carnage!”

Knull – King of Symbiotes

This one isn’t as obvious as the other ones on this list, but is hinted when we learn how Symbiote reached Earth. We see the Symbiote meteor has a big, red spiral on the front of it, which is most often associated with Knull, aka the King in Black, the tyrant god/king of symbiotes. Knull is never mentioned by name so it could be just a nod to comics fans. However, it could also be a setup for a full King of Symbiote invasion related plot for Spider-Man 3 or a Spin-Off .

Miguel O’Hara

Throughout the game, we come across a lot of Spider-Bots which we have to collect to solve the mystery surrounding them. These Spider-Bots heavily tease almost all of the characters we saw in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. When we collect all of them, a portal opens up and we see Delilah in a bar with no name. She talks about Miguel and we get know that Spider-Man isn’t aware about Miguel or Spider Society yet. Again, this could just be a nod to Spider-Verse but it could also be a tease for a wider multi-verse related narrative coming up in the future games.

Silk

In the second post-credit scene, we learn that Rio’s new boyfriend is Albert but that’s not what’s important here. Albert brings along his daughter Cindy Moon, who Spider-Man fans were quick to recognize as Silk. If you aren’t aware, Silk is another Spider-powered human who fights baddies and protects New York. For those who aren’t aware, she’s basically like Spider-Gwen  who wears a mask like Elektra’s and does everything Spider-people can do. In comics rendition, she has a traumatic past and was bitten by the same spider which bit Peter. So, it would be really cool to see what Insomniac plans on doing with this character. Can we have 3 playable characters in the next game? Guess we’ll find out!

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now available to play exclusively on PS5.
