Daredevil Will Be In A Lot of Upcoming MCU Shows!

Marvel announced last week that Daredevil will get his own Disney+ show that will run for 18 episodes. This news delighted fans as Daredevil was finally getting his well deserved spot in the MCU. The show reportedly will pick up the story after Daredevil Season 3. Charlie Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That was the character’s first appearance in the MCU. The Daredevil show was first streaming on Netflix until it was taken down from the streaming giant in March 2022. All three shows of the show are currently streaming on Disney+.

Daredevil focuses on a blind lawyer- Matt Murdock who navigates the legal system in the day but fights crime at night. He works with his partner Franklin Nelson. Once the show was cancelled, fans questioned the status of the superhero in the MCU. However, interestingly parts of the show were included in the MCU. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk/ Kingpin has definitely become a MCU canon with his appearance in Hawkeye (2021). However, according to recent reports, Daredevil is soon going to be a MCU canon as well as he will be appearing in a lot more MCU shows than just Daredevil: Born Again.

Will Daredevil Appear in Every MCU Series From Now?

Along with a lot of stuff, Marvel revealed the trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law that teased of Daredevil’s appearance at the end of the trailer in his new red and gold costume. Another of the announcements that included Charlie Cox was the animated series called Spider-Man: Freshman that will have the Daredevil star voicing his character in the show. That aside, he is also set to return and play a bigger role in Marvel’s Echo series along with Vincent D’ Onfrio’s Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. This confirms that Daredevil will be popping every now and then in the MCU. Even Marvel President Kevin Feigi addressed this at the Marvel Comic-Con Panel.

“We’ve got the street-level with the announcement of Daredevil and of course, Spidey going into the street-level heroes” (via MTV News). And they would leave more cosmic problems to heroes such as Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy. When Marvel head makes says talks about the street potential Daredevil has it is sealed deal that Charlie Cox will be featuring in a number of upcoming MCU projects. Seeing the fan following Charlie Cox has for his portrayal of Matt Murdock and the condition Marvel has founded itself in, it is a good decision.

Daredevil: Born Again is supposed to drop in early 2024.
