Spider-Man: Freshman Year is a prequel series for the MCU version of Spider-Man. Spider-Man first debuted in the MCU in Captain America: Civil War after Kevin Feigi cracked a deal with Sony’s President Amy Pascal. Spider-Man then got his solo movie called Spider-Man: Homecoming where we saw Spider-Man in high school. This prequel will be an animated series and it will focus on Spider-Man in his freshman year of high school. The announcement also included that the animated show will feature Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in an important role. The announcement came off the heels after the news that Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio will reprise their roles in future MCU projects.

Including a Disney+ series called Echo. In 2021, Kevin Feigi confirmed Cox would return as Daredevil and in the same year Cox made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Was Spider-Man: Freshman Year’s trailer shown?

At SDCC’22 when this announcement was made there was no trailer shown for the animated show. Although, we did get a number of details including a release window for the show. The show is set to debut on Disney+ in 2024. Charlie Cox would be voicing Daredevil in the show. We also have some other updates on the villains that may appear in the series. From Dr. Octavius, Chameleon, Speed Demon, Scorpion and Butane the Pyromaniac.

A report suggests that Harry Osborn and Amadeus Cho will also appear in the series. That being said, check our other updates for SDCC’22.

Marvel’s upcoming show She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will start streaming on Disney+ from 17th August 2022 & their upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated to release on 11th November 2022.
