After Endgame most of the OG Avengers’ stories were resolved except for Hawkeye and Thor. While Hawkeye’s story continued in the Disney+ series, Thor’s story was left up in the air. With Thor: Love and Thunder, Thor’s story after Endgame continues. Thor becomes the first superhero in the MCU to get a 4th solo outing. The film marks the return of regular players in a Thor film and some new entries – Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Russell Crowe, Taika Waititi, , Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, and Vin Diesel and Christian Bale.

The film is directed by Thor: Ragnarok fame Taika Waititi. He also co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. The film focuses on Thor’s journey after the events of Endgame. We seemingly weren’t sure where Thor’s story would go next but this film gives us a good idea of it. We’re introduced to Gorr the God Butcher in this film. The film is just above 2 hours and to wrap it up quickly it is mixed bag of emotions and dry humor. With conflicting tones and misplaced humor the movie was a good but mediocre affair. However, if you want to check out our full review you can click here.

The film had gotten mixed reviews since its premiere. However, the majority was heading towards the positive side. However, as the days have gone by and the film has opened to audiences those opinions have drastically changed as the film is now being considered one of the worst films in the entire MCU. Until now these were just the opinions of people but the ratings of the film proves that this is a worldwide notion. As the film’s box office run is running out of fuel, Marvel has announced the streaming date for the film. Recently we got updates on the extra featurettes that we’ll be getting in the Blu-rays and DVDs. Today we have a concept art that features Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster’s deleted scene.

Thor: Love and Thunder- Grandmaster with Robotic Arms?

Thor Love and Thunder Should Eye $1 Billion Box Office to Beat All Thor Movies!

Jeff Goldblum first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Thor: Ragnarok as The Grandmaster, an Elder of the Universe. He was head of the planet Sakaar which where gladiator tournaments are held. we last saw him in Thor: Ragnarok however, his condition was unknown. We know he wasn’t dead but we haven’t heard of him ever since. Although we might be seeing him in MCU’s future after the twist in She-Hulk episode 2. Although, it looks like we were going to see him in Thor: Love and Thunder as well but the scene was scrapped.

Based on the concept art it doesn’t look like a normal scene, in the scene he seems to be having robotic arms. Something like C3PO in Star Wars. His entire set-up looks like the High Evolutionary’s lab where he trying to create something. We will be seeing the High Evolutionary in the MCU very soon as he will be debuting in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The concept art was shared by visual development artist Yujin Choo who works for Marvel Studios. The series of stills shared by him are below:

Director Taika Waititi talked about the many deleted scenes in Thor: Love and Thunder to Insider, “I wrote the thing so when you cut anything it’s a little bit of a challenge to yourself because you’re like, ‘Am I not that good? Should I have seen this coming?’ But every film I’ve done I’ve probably cut the same amount out. When you go into the edit you just never know,” Thor: Ragnarok and Love and Thunder Director Taika Waititi previously mentioned to Insider. “A scene on its own could be the most funniest thing or intriguing thing, but sometimes those things if you keep them in will just make the movie screech to a halt. So you have to do what’s best for the film.”

Previously Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Game of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage as Eitri and Lena Headley in an unknown was supposed to star in the film but in the final cut all the scenes containing them were cut out for various reasons. Waititi offered clarification on the same, “If you ask any of those actors who were cut out – Jeff Goldblum, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage – they all understand how it works,” the filmmaker added. “They have been in the game long enough. But that’s just the way I look at things.”

Thor: Love and Thunder will be available for streaming on Disney+ from September 8th 2022 and as physical media from 27th September 2022.
