Wonder Man is Marvel’s upcoming TV show which is reported to start filming soon with Yahya Abdul Mateen II playing the titular character. The show has added Mindhunter star Lauren Glazier in an unknown role. The series will be directed by The Spectacular Now and Shrinking’s James Ponsoldt and The Photograph’s Stella Meghie. Shang Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton is developing the series along with Brooklyn Nine Nine writer-producer Andrew Guest. While Guest will be the head writer of the series, Cretton is set to act as an executive producer to the series and possibly also direct a few episodes. One of the show’s first casting was Ben Kingsley reprising his role of Trevor Slattery and it turns out that he is the first character whose set photos have been leaked, giving us a glimpse at his part in the TV series.

Wonder Man: Ben Kingsley’s Set Photos Have Been Leaked!

Marvel’s Wonder Man series has begun filming in Los Angeles and some new set photos show Iron Man 3’s Ben Kingsley back as Trevor Slattery. The images don’t reveal all too much, but they do see Slattery dressed up and looking quite dapper. Perhaps he’s gotten a role of a lifetime?

Wonder Man is one of the oldest characters in Marvel’s long history, and was first introduced in 1964 in an early issue of Avengers. The character named Simon Williams was created by Stan Lee, Don Heck, and Jack Kirby, and was initially introduced as a supervillain who fought the Avengers. Reports suggests the project is in early stages of development and if everything goes well the series could begin filming in late 2023. Additionally, actors Werner Herzog, Bob Odenkirk, and Ed Harris are all rumored to be circling roles in the Disney+ series.

Wonder Man doesn’t have a release date yet.
