Perhaps the most anticipated animated film of the year is just around the corner, the film’s hype is despite the many delays that it has faced. Based on the trailers and other marketing material it is evident that the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be a new milestone in animation much like it’s predecessor. Sony has left no stone unturned when it comes to the production of the film. There is a significant bump in the budget. Into the Spider-Verse was made on a budget of $90 million but Across the Spiderverse is made with at least $100 million. The runtime of the sequel is extraordinary as well, clocking in at 2 hours 20 minutes making it the longest major Hollywood animated film ever and the third longest Spider-Man film. Considering all this fans want to be the first ones to witness this spectacle on the big screen. When can they book a spot for themselves?- Very soon.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse- Tickets To Go On Sale Very Soon!
According to a new listing from Showcase Cinemas, tickets for the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will go on sale from Monday, 8th May. The ticket release date comes less than a month before the sequel’s release. Consider the movie’s long runtime while buying the tickets. As per the report the exact date and time when the tickets will go on sale are 8th May between 8 and 12 ET. I’m not sure this date is also applicable to India. If history is to be believed then the tickets will go on sale quite late in India. Probably one or two weeks before the film’s release.
Also, expect a small teaser or trailer to drop along with the tickets on Monday. If might contain the same footage that we’ve seen before but some new marketing material will drop. Check out SM: Across the Spider-Verse’s Official Trailer on YouTube:
The sequel stars Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson and Issa Rae in prominent roles. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will releasing in theatres on 2nd June 2023.
