If you aren’t aware, Netflix’ Elite is a Spanish thriller teen drama television series created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona. It is set in a fictional elite secondary school called Las Encinas and revolves around the relationships between three working-class teenage students. Elite season 4 was released on 18 June 2021 and October 2021, Netflix renewed the series for a sixth season. As for season 5, here’s some good news. Netflix has set an early April premiere date for Elite season 5 as it is all set to release on 8th April 2022. Do watch the teaser and date announcement posted by Netflix by clicking on the link above. Elite which began in 2018 has been captivating viewers with scandal and drama for several years now. Money Heist sensationalized Spanish series among foreign viewers and quite a lot of Money Heist fans wen on to watch Elite. But Elite turned out to develop its own separate fan base.
All 8 episodes will be made available on 8th April and season 5 will pick up after the New Year’s party where Guzmán slew Armando. Bilal (Adam Nourou), Isadora (Valentina Zenere), and Iván (André Lamoglia) will be the three newcomers in this season. This is what Elite co-creator Carlos Montero had to say about season 5:
“Élite is a universe I always want to return to. As a creator and as a spectator. It stimulates me, comforts me, encourages me. And the fifth season has been so great, so alive, that I know I’m going to come back to it more than twice and three times. It’s a feast for the senses. You’re going to enjoy it.”
At the end of season 4, Guzmán left Spain behind to see Europe with his best friend Ander (Aron Piper). Also, the secret of Armando’s death threatens to disrupt the budding romance between Samuel and Ari . Rest of the characters also have plenty on their plates, so we’ll have to wait and see what awaits them next month.
