From being an underdog, to being one of the most popular actors in the world, Tom Hardy has had quite the journey. Even after being a tremendous actor, Tom Hardy has barely led any productions with Locke, Venom franchise, Capone, and debatably Mad Max: Fury Road, being the only few that come to mind. But as a supporting actor, the list of amazing films he’s part a part of is endless. Talking on the subject, Taboo is one such production which was literally single handedly carried by Tom Hardy.
As some of you might be aware, Taboo is a dark drama series by BBC which has been created by none other that Steven Knight. Peaky Blinders famed Knight, is an Academy Award nominated screenwriter and director, who is basically the boss of Peaky Blinders and Taboo. He is also the man behind “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”. He likes working with Tom Hardy as he has featured in all his major productions including Locke, Peaky Blinders, Taboo, and the upcoming Charles Dicken’s Great Expectations adaptation. But before that, we have a major update for the fans of Taboo.
Taboo Season 2 Filming Update
Tom Hardy led Taboo Season 1 came out in 2017, which impressed both fans and critics alike. The dark drama is a slow burn but of great quality quite like Peaky Blinders. This is precisely the reason why Peaky Blinders fans enjoyed Taboo the most as it shared similar vibes but was way darker. Taboo season 1 is available on Netflix now and if you haven’t seen it, then I advise you to surely check it out. Ever since 2017, fans have been patiently waiting for Season 2 and now that the final season of Peaky Blinders is out, Knight might have a little bit of free time on his hands.
It’s time to bring back the excitement as Knight has shared a huge update with the fans at a convention in Birmingham. He hinted towards the start of filming for season 2 and confirmed that Tom Hardy will be back.
“I imagine that it will start production towards the end of next year…
“[Tom and I] are both keen to continue and there are lots of people who want us to continue in that direction. It’s been a question of schedules and deciding where it goes next.”
So, its quite clear that Taboo season 2 will start filming by the end of 2023. I know, it’s still quite far but at least it’s official and we can once again begin speculating and theorizing what’s to come next. Apparently, the long delay was caused by lack of good scheduling as well as the unavailability of both Tom Hardy and Steven Knight. A question about taboo ? Yeah is this a joke …sick of waiting,the real reason we still haven’t seen series two is because hardy is too busy making stupid Marvel boys films (which tells me all he cares about is money and not quality ) taboo was the best thing in a long time and rumour has it that WHEN/IF it finally comes back he might not even be in it,we’ve been hearing these rumours that’s it’s coming back for years,and nothing
Well it is now surely coming back along with Hardy as confirmed by Steven Knight.
P.s.hardy is the equivalent of a c**k teaser ,also Stephen Graham who is a far better actor would never leave his fans waiting this long would he .
Maybe Hardy is holding out for the Bond role I hope he takes it and ruins his career lol
