Wednesday Season 2 Lady Gaga To Star in the Netflix Show

With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 71%, an IMDb rating of 8.7/10 and 1.2 Billion hours on Netflix, Wednesday has become the biggest show on the planet right now. 2022 was a very good year for TV. Despite Netflix losing subscribers in abundance, there were good shows that Netflix added to their kitty which possibly secures their future. One of them being Wednesday. Tim Burton’s reimagining of the classic TV show The Addams Family has worked greatly as the veteran director is praised for the way he adapted it in the modern context. Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of Wednesday Addams has made her a global sensation. I can’t believe it all started with her self-choreographed dance sequence going viral on the internet.

The supporting cast of the series includes Christian Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Gwendoline Christie, Emma Myers, Isaac Ordonez, Hunter Doohan, Fred Armisen, Georgie Farmer and Percy Hynes White who are all outstanding as well. The debut season of this show is surpassing viewership records of 3 & 4 seasons of other shows, it just tells you the amount of audience that the show has garnered in just the first season. Given this unsurmountable success, Netflix renewed the show for a second season and now according to reports, Lady Gaga might star in it. So, is it true? Let’s see what the show’s lead star Jenna Ortega has to say.

Wednesday Season 2: Jenna Ortega Responds to Rumors!

Ortega’s episode four viral dance which was originally on the song, Goo Goo Muck is being remixed with Lady Gaga’s hit 2011 song Bloody Mary on Tiktok. The popularity of the remix version was more than the original. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t seen the series has seen Ortega’s original dance on the song Tim Burton chose. Everyone knows this as the Bloody Mary dance and I’ll be honest, having seen the show I can say that the dance looks better on Bloody Mary than Goo Goo Muck.

The popularity of the version was such that even Lady Gaga saw it and she was so impressed that it prompted her to make a recreational video of the dance, resulting in Variety asking series star Jenna Ortega at the 80th Golden Globes whether this recreation video means that Lady Gaga would sneak in a cameo there? Check out what Ortega had to say to that: “Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird kind of mentor relationship, or understood each other in a certain way, so if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think they would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”

Ortega even reflected back to her connection with Lady Gaga, as she recounted her first interaction with the famous singer. Ortega said, “A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before,” she said, explaining how the hairdresser asked the singer to film a video for Ortega. “Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers. But to see her do that now, it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast.”
