Hogwarts Legacy Release Date Might Be Revealed Next Week

The Wizarding World is expanding further and owing to that, comes an action role-playing video game called Hogwarts Legacy. After the release of Fantastic Beasts 3, fans do not have much to look forward in the cinematic Potterverse for a few years. So, instead they are looking towards other Potterverse projects and Hogwarts Legacy is something they’ve been waiting for, since a long time. It has been developed by Avalanche Software and published by WB and is set to release in late 2022 for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Unfortunately, its release date hasn’t been revealed as of now but that might change next week.

Release Date To Be Revealed At Sony State of Play

Since, it’s about damn time we get to know the release date of Hogwarts Legacy, we expect it to be revealed as soon as next week. Since a few weeks marketing efforts for the game are on a high. Just a few days ago Hogwarts Legacy’s Next Gen Immersion trailer was launched which revealed its PS5 exclusive features. Last week, WB also released a 20 minute 4K ASMR video “Hogwarts Legacy – A Rainy Spring Night” which revealed the atmosphere and various locations of the game. So, now all eyes are pointing towards its release date.

Next week, June 3 to be precise, is the upcoming Sony State of Play and as you may know, tons of new content about various PS4/PS5 games are revealed. The last State of Play was in March 2022, when Hogwarts Legacy’s extended gameplay video was revealed. So, more updates will surely arrive in this upcoming event and it is being said that it will focus a lot on Hogwarts Legacy. So, we might finally be looking at the release date reveal.

“It’s been more than two months since our last State of Play – who’s ready for a new one? Tune in live next Thursday, June 2 for nearly 30 minutes of announcements and updates from the world of PlayStation,” read PlayStationBlog.

Hogwarts Legacy Price

Hogwarts Legacy is now available for pre-order in many countries and top sellers include Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop and Walmart. Hogwarts Legacy is priced at $60 for old consoles and $70 for new-gen consoles. For more extensive price breakup check below:

The game’s PC version price isn’t available as of now but is expected to be around $60. Compared to other games, it is really expensive, even more so than Bandai Namco’s Elden Ring (2022). But considering how massive the scale is and how extensive the gameplay looks like, it is only fair. There are a lot of expectations from this game and we really hope it lives up to them.
