Fantastic Four Bryce Dallas Howard Denies Being The Invisible Woman, Is She Lying

Marvel Cinematic Universe is a big deal these days that we encounter new rumors or leaks almost every other day. Being as expansive and star studded as it is, nothing less is expected from it. The biggest reason behind this, though, is that they have proven time and again that anything is possible. And now that they have been working on the multiverse, everything indeed is possible! Most such rumors have some or the other truth attached to them, in fact, some believe these rumors are spread by Marvel itself to increase the hype and excitement. One such latest rumor is the casting of Bryce Dallas Howard as The Invisible in Fantastic Four movie. Here’s what the actress has to say about it.

Bryce Dallas Howard As Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four

Ever since John Kransinki appeared as Mr. Fantastic and was basically confirmed to appear in the role in future, rumors about other members started flowing in the air. One of the major rumors regarding the same was Bryce Dallas Howard directing the Fantastic Four movie and playing the role of The Invisible Woman aka Susan Storm. As you might be aware, Susan Storm is one of the members of the Fantastic Four as well as the love interest of Mr. Fantastic. That aside, she is also the sister of Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and love interest of Dr. Victor on Doom.

At a fan event, the star was asked to sign a Funko Pop of The Invisible Woman by a fan. To that the star reacted as follows:

“Oh my God! [laughs] I don’t think it’s happening—I mean, I know [this doesn’t] involve me or anything. I swear to God, I swear to God. Yeah, yeah, for real. Total rumors. Total rumors, but you know, yeah… Thank you, but I’ll sign the [Funko] just for fun…”

So, yes she clearly denied her involvement in the role but is she telling the truth?

Is Bryce Dallas Howard Lying About Her Role?

Well, it is really hard to say but her over defensive reply does turn a few eyes. This is all thanks to Marvel star’s history of lying and misleading. All this started with Benedict Cumberbatch lying about being Doctor Strange and Paul Rudd lying about being Ant-Man. Since then many stars including Brie Larson, Andrew Garfield, Jonathon Majors have all lied about their involvement in the MCU. More recently, Tatiana Maslany lied about being She-Hulk even after various press releases and media outlets mentioned her name.

So, many Marvel stars have lied over the years. In fact, if we go by stats rumors are more likely to be true these days than what stars say. Although this rumor originated from an anonymous leak, we have seen many such rumors being confirmed a few months or years after extensive denial. Let’s see if it is true or not, the coming months would surely let us know. Talking about rumors, another rumor about a live-action Captain Carter series starring Hayley Atwell is also at large and you can read all about it here.
