One of Marvel’s most critically acclaimed series is Wandavision starring Elizabeth Olsen, which has become a sort of a cult classic among fans. The story of the show follows Wanda Maximoff’s tragic arc of transition from an Avenger to a supervillain who threatens the fabric of the multiverse. She is the opponent to Doctor Strange in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. After losing nearly everything she loves, that is her lover Vision, her twin brother, and the prospect of her having a family — she is left shattered, and she chooses to embrace the evil powers of the Darkhold and wreaking havoc. She utilises her reality bending power by enabling herself to live in a dimension with her two sons.
Will There Be A Sequel to Wandavision?
Marvel has confirmed that Wandavision will not have a sequel, and more importantly, it is very debatable whether even Scarlet Witch will make an appearance in future MCU movies. The death of her character was implicit in Multiverse of Madness, and Wandavision had been subtitled as The Complete Series, unlike the Tom Hiddleston starrer Loki series, which was titled “The Complete First Season”, and which is getting a second season now. Elizabeth Olsen has also implied that she is done with playing the character, which she has done for nearly a decade and does not wish to reprise the role again. However, Kevin Feige did display enthusiasm in bringing back Olsen, and stated that she could have cameo performance as one of the multiversal variants in any of the future movies.
Wanda’s story will continue through the series based on her antagonist, called Agatha: The Coven of Chaos. It might also carry on in the White Vision spinoff, Vision Quest. As ScreenRant writes,
Wandavision told a complete story, bridging Wanda’s character development between Avengers: Endgame and Multiverse of Madness, and with Wanda likely deceased, the show is better off being continued via its two spinoff shows.
