Stranger Things Season 5 Theory Eleven To Get Trapped In The Upside Down

Stranger Things is the biggest English language show on Netflix, that is Wednesday doesn’t beat it. However, the hype that every new season of the show generates is unparalleled. The numbers it raises every time Netflix drops a bunch of episodes is crazy. We know what happened in Stranger Things 4. Vol. 1 ended with a great cliffhanger or rather a revelation that One / Henry Creel is Vecna. Vol. 2 might not have been as good and crisp but it did end on a note of wonder. Vecna won and now the Upside Down is slowly creeping in and merging with the real world. Stranger Things 5 will be the last time we will see the show.

All good things have to end. Speaking about the end, there is a theory on Reddit about how the final season Stranger Things will end. It is absolutely bonkers and trust me if this how Duffer Brothers end the show, it will be one of the best ends ever. Buckle up because you’re not ready for this.

Stranger Things Season 5: To Include Time Travel!

The theory is not at all complicated and actually makes perfect sense. At the end of Stranger Things season 5, Eleven and Vecna will fight in the upside, we know that she is the one who has opened and closed gates to the Upside Down throughout the entire show. She trapped One there and then during the experiments with Papa she made contact with the Demogorgon and opened the gate once again. So, the theory is in order for Hawkins and everyone in it to remain safe, Eleven has to trap herself in the Upside Down.

This would eliminate any chance of opening a gate to the Upside Down. We also learn that time is an important aspect of the show like when Eleven says, they’re like time travellers or Vecna’s use of a clock, not to forget the biggest hint at this- The Upside Down being stuck on the day Will went missing. So, when Eleven traps herself there, she’ll have to manipulate time in some sense that would rewind it back all the away to the first scene of the boys playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Every time Eleven stays outside the Upside Down, a threat always looms over Hawkins as evidenced by the ending Season 2, even if Eleven closed the gate the threat still remained. In order for all of this to end, she’ll have to stay here with Vecna so that Hawkins is safe for ever. He’ll make her do what she did to him (If I only could, make a deal with God, and I’d get him to swap our places). This will take us back all the way to the day Will went missing and instead casting fireball, Will will cast a protection spell.

Eleven will then channel the boys from the Upside Down with a blindfold on and make sure that Will gets home safe, after which she will remove the blindfold, wipe blood from her nose and the series would end there. This makes a lot of sense as Vecna is mainly behind Eleven. This move from her would ensure that her friends are safe forever. When she rewinds time, all her friends will forget about her and will live as if she never existed. Duffer Brothers had mentioned that Stranger Things will go back to its Season one roots, what would be better than this?

They also mentioned about a time jump, but they didn’t mention a jump in the past or future. Noah Schnapp has stated countless times that the series started with Will and will end with him. What would be better than him finally getting home? This would be awesome end for Stranger Things. It might be sad but it’ll wrap up the story of everyone very well. This would also ensure that Will and Mike will stay happily ever after. Jokes aside but I really want to see this or at least variation of this play out in Stranger Things 5.
