The Witcher Season 3: Geralt’s Company – Milva, Regis, Cahir Explained

The Witcher Season 3 is now halfway complete and will debut sometime next year. If our guess is correct, it might be ready to release by May, 2024, and as of now all eyes are on The Witcher: Blood Origin which is all set to debut this fall (possibly December 2022). Also, just a few months ago, CDPR also announced a new Witcher game with Witcher 3 next gen update also coming up soon. That aside, a new Witcher anime film called The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep was also leaked. So, The Witcher Universe is in full swing and you can check all of The Witcher Season 3 BTS and leaks so far. The following article contains some big spoilers for The Witcher Saga books and potentially The Witcher Season 3.

Geralt’s Company

Anyways, it has been revealed that Milva will be introduced in season 3 and that would pave the way for Geralt’s Company or Hanza. Geralt’s Company was formed in the main saga’s third book “Baptism of Fire” with the motive of rescuing Ciri after the events of attempted coup at Isle of Thanedd in “The Time of Contempt”. As you may know Season 3 will adapt Time of Contempt which would be the turning point to the saga and take The Witcher series to new heights. So, even though Milva appeared for the first time in the Baptism of Fire, she would still appear in season 3. So, that leaves the room for speculation that other members of the company might also arrive.

The series is already way ahead of books in Emperor Emhyr revelation so would come as no surprise if more characters Geralt’s Company arrive before time. So, the major members of Geralt’s Company were Geralt, Dandelion (Jaskier), Milva, Cahir, Regis, and Angouleme. While the dwarf Zoltan Chivay and his gang also accompanied Geralt for some time, he was never a part of his company. Now, you know Dandelion and you know Cahir from the the previous seasons so there is not much to add there. Yes, Cahir will later on join Geralt in his quest and be a major part of his company, even though Geralt hates him. Let’s move on to characters you might not know.

The Witcher Season 3 – Who Is Milva?

Milva or Maria Barring is one of the most important characters in the Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski. She wasn’t present in CDPR’s Witcher trilogy, so game fans might not know about her. Although, Gwent players would have surely noticed her impressive Gwent card. Milva was an archer from Upper Sodden and one of the few non-dryads tolerated in Brokilon. She was introduced in Baptism of Fire and became a main part of the series. Saying anything further would be saying too much. Her casting is a bit controversial as she’ll be portrayed by the Chinese actress Meng’er Zhang (Shang Chi).

The Witcher Season 3 – Who is Regis?

Regis is a beloved character from the Witcher Universe who was a major part of the last three books as well as The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine Expansion. So, if you are a Witcher game fan, you already know Regis and if you don’t here’s what you need to know. Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy is a higher vampire who is introduced in Baptism of Fire and later joins Geralt’s quest to find Ciri. Regis is one of the most powerful characters in the Witcher lore and has abilities like immortality, super strength, super speed, super reflexes, flying, nigh invisibility, and mind control.

That aside, he is a brilliant alchemist and a vastly knowledgeable entity who often likes to correct people and impel facts in any conversation. He is sometimes annoying to the people within the lore but always lovable for the fans. After Geralt, Dandelion and Ciri, he is the most popular and most loved character from Witcher universe. As for whether Regis will be in season 3, the chances of a last episode cameo seem high. It is possible that The Witcher season 3 ends with Geralt meeting Milva in the forests of Brokilon and at the same time we get to see the cameo of Regis collecting herbs in the woods before the end credits appear. If I was Netflix, I’d surely do that to reward fans as well as hype them for what’s to come in Season 4.

Who is Angouleme in The Witcher?

Angouleme was the final member to join Geralt’s company in The Tower of Shallows. She was a fair-haired girl who Geralt initially mistook for Ciri due to her appearance. She was a part of the Nightingale gang but ended up siding with Geralt and joined his company, feeling obligated to pay off her debt to him for saving her life. She is quite skilled with swords and provides some much required assist to Geralt later on in the books. There is a little to no chance that Angouelme will appear in The Witcher Season 3 as her debut came towards the later half of the penultimate book in the saga. In fact, I doubt if she’d even be there in Season 4 as a lot happens in Baptism of Fire andit would be hard to reach the point where she meets Geralt by season 4.
