Ms. Marvel Episode 6 Review – The Finale Explained, Captain Marvel, and Post Credit Scenes

Ms. Marvel premiered its sixth and final episode few hours back on the streaming service Disney Plus, and the latest Marvel phase 4 superhero show is another nugget in the crown jewel of MCU. The show created by Bisha K. Ali, stars Iman Vellani in her debut role as lead portraying Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. The main plotline of the Clandestines already concluded in the previous episode so, we weren’t quite sure what this episode would be about. And it turns out our worry was not for nothing as Ms. Marvel Episode 6 turned out to be the weakest once so far. (Review Marathon – Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3, Episode 4, Episode 5)

Ms. Marvel Episode 6 Kamala Khan’s Costume

Well, I have to say that the finale was quite unsatisfying and quite average. It didn’t quite match the previous episodes of this show itself, let alone other awesome shows on TV right now. It just seemed messy even though it ended quite well and left no plotlines open. The biggest flaw of this episode was a really bad and short CGI fight with no real motivations or setup. However, the highlight of this episode was not its action but Kamala fully adopting her mantle and becoming Ms. Marvel.

Apart from getting a cool costume, she adopted her superhero namel as justed by her Abbu during the final moments. He explained to her the meaning of the Urdu and Arabic word Kamal (Fem – Kamala) which translates to Marvel. Then he went on to call her “our little Ms. Marvel”, which lit up Kamala’s face and hinted at her adopting this alter ego. The entire plotline involving Kamran ended up being pretty bad along with the rest of the Clandestines. So, yeah the show lacked any real threat or a compelling antagonist just like most of Disney Plus Marvel shows. But the episode sure hyped us with it’s ending and Post Credit scene.

Ending and Post Credit Scene – Kamala Will Return in The Marvels

One of the most hype-worthy moments of the show was when Bruno reveals Kamala’s origin. Apparently, her genes isn’t normal and has some inconsistencies which can only be explained with the word “Mutation”. So, yes Kamala Khan’s Ms. Marvel is indeed a mutant and this marks the beginning of X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not just that X-Men 1997 theme also kicked in when her mutation was revealed. So, X-Men fans, it’s time for you to hype up as your favorite mutants are all set to debut in MCU pretty soon! That leaves us with the post credit scene.

So, first off, Ms. Marvel finale has just one post credit scene where Captain Marvel seems to suddenly appear in Kamala’s room! This can be explained by her switching places with Kamala Khan due to some connection the bangle formed between them. So, that led to both of them interchanging their places with Carol Denvers being teleported to her room. So, what, Kamala Khan is just floating up in space somewhere? We don’t know but we will surely receive the answers to all the question in The Marvels next year. If you don’t already know, Ms. Marvel is all set to return in The Marvels alongside Captain Marvel (Carol Denvers), and Monica Rambeau. The Marvels is all set to release in July 2023 and will showcase the further adventures of the Captain Marvel family

Final Verdict – Ms. Marvel Episode 6 aka the finale ended up feeling like a filler episode with a little to no impact on the MCU or the viewers, however, it succeeded in hyping the fans for what’s about to go down in the MCU.
